This is especially true if a majority of your competitors aren’t using this content marketing strategy to grow their respective businesses and, in turn, presents an opportunity to improve the awareness of your own business in your market.
As a business owner, you are the person in your business who is best placed to showcase the specific expertise and knowledge that you have built up over a period of time.
By when you start a blog, you are able to show your prospects that you know what you’re talking about and that your business products or services are the answer to their problems.

These ad platforms are incredibly effective in increasing website traffic but you need to be careful with how you spend your ad budget.
As good as these platforms are in driving traffic and making sales for your business, they can easily chew up your budget and produce little-to-no results if you don’t know what you’re doing.

In a nutshell, you need to find websites that are relevant and similar to your own, get in touch with them via email, and pitch your idea for a blog post that you could write for them.
The key here is to request a link in the article that links back to a certain page on your website. This link will need to be at least 3 words and relevant to the page that is being linked to.
Now, based on what we’ve mentioned here, cold emailing website owners pitching a blog article might seem like a fairly easy thing to do and for the most part, it is.
However, prepare yourself for the fact that your offer might be rejected or, worse, you might not get a response whatsoever.
It’s very much a numbers game and how you can communicate the upfront value that the person you’re pitching to will receive with this article.
7. Internal Linking
This is a fairly easy one and something you’ll have full control over which is always a good thing.
Internal linking between pages and posts on a website is a fairly common practice with regards to an SEO strategy. Essentially, when you’re connecting pages on your website, it allows Google & Bing to crawl and rank your website more easily.
The end result here is that your relevant pages will rank on Google & Bing which will increase traffic to your site in the long term.
Not too dissimilar to the guest posting & blogging suggestion we made above, you need to ensure that the pages you’re linking to are relevant to the page you’re linking from.
If you don’t, you’ll confuse Google as to what the linked page is about and they won’t rank you as well as they possibly could.
